The Pool Party – A Celebration of Women’s Writing at the Greenwich Book Festival with Sarah Perry, Lisa McInerney, Hisayo Buchanan, Laura Barnett and Kathryn Williams
The Greenwich Book Festival Pool Party, a showcase of women’s writing in association with www.the-pool.com, was a great success at our 2016 festival. For 2017, we have a thrilling array of talent: Sarah Perry, author of the Waterstones’ prizewinning The Essex Serpent; Lisa McInerney, winner of the 2016 Baileys and Desmond Elliott prizes for her darkly comic debut The Glorious Heresies will introduce its sequel The Blood Miracles; award-nominated debut author Rowan Hisayo Buchanan will discuss her acclaimed debut Harmless Like You and Laura Barnett, writer of the bestselling The Versions of Us, returns alongside acclaimed singer-songwriter Kathryn Williams to present the story and songs of Greatest Hits.

The event is held in the Queen Mary Undercroft of the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich. There will be book signings during the interval and at the end of the evening. Doors and the bar will be open from 19.30 and last orders at 22.30.
